GameStop: ‘Wii Raincheck’ Program This Friday Only
If you just can’t find a Wii to put under the tree this Christmas, get down to your local GameStop or EB Games early this Friday, December 21 and get the next best thing - a raincheck.
GameStop recently announced the details of the program. A limited supply of the rainchecks, which guarantee that a Wii console will be available for you to pickup by January 25, 2008.
Purchasers will have to pay the entire $250 this Friday, and will receive a DVD jewel case emblazoned with the one and only Mario. Inside the case will be the gift receipt and instructions on how to pick up the Wii.

GameStop will call the Wii owners when their console has arrived at the store.
Your going to have to get there early if you want to get your Wii this way. And there is a limited amount of rainchecks being alloted for the stores, so there still is no guarantee that you will get one, but you will have a much better chance than finding one in a big box store somewhere.
There probably won’t be too many Wii consoles showing up in the Gamestop stores this January because most of them will be going to fulfill the rainchecks.
