Hudson to Release a Bomb of a Game for the Wii
It seems that your Wii game systems are in for a good treat this January as Hudson Entertainment, the creators of our favorite Bomberman games, is set to release an adventure for the famous hero bomber on our favorite gaming console.
Let’s Take A Quick Recap Shall We?
Last year, Hudson’s activity for the Wii focused mainly on releasing games for the Wii Virtual Console. While playing past games from defunct gaming consoles may be a good way to relive the past (I know some of you are old already!) and yes, they did release games like Marble Mania and Fishing Master for some of that Wii graphic goodness, we’ve still yet to see Hudson’s famous robot bomber to grace our Wii game systems.
And I know that the pyromaniac within each one of you is itching to get a crack at blowing bombs again right? It’s about time…
Celebrate January With A Bang!
Bomberman Land is coming to the Wii! Featuring 3 separate bomb-blasting games in one, Bomberman Land is set to be released January 29, 2008. And if you’re just like me, I guess you’re already excited to relish some more of that fiery goodness.
I said that this is a 3-games in one pack right? Just take a peek at what to look forward to in Wii’s Bomberman Land:
1. In the story mode, you get to play Cheerful White (I didn’t know the Bomberman protagonist’s name until now) in a quest to vanquish the evil Champion Bomber through various mini-games. Now, the story says that you have to get rid Bomberman Land of Champion Bomber but I have yet to know why. So we’ll just have to find out through the game right?
2. The mini-games you played during the story mode is also available for multi-player action as another feature of the game. Play against your friends and eventually show them how much they suck.
3. And of course, the ever-famous Battle Mode is the other feature where up to 4 players can get it on for some of that traditional Bomberman goodness. We have seen this feature before on past Bomberman games but what’s new on this installment is the “Wii” mode where you get to use the flexibility of your Wii game systems to point and shoot bombs.
Lastly, Let Me Just Smack You with More of My Opinion (Just Because I Can)
Now, I don’t know if you like Bomberman as much as I do, but if you don’t, a crack at this game may be enough to get you to convert. Because, well, the game looks damn promising!
As for me, I’m definitely looking forward to the multi-player Battle Mode. Basically, it’s your chance show the people around you on who’s boss (or who’s the most geeky) in handling firepower. It’s been always my favorite Bomberman feature and well, let’s just wait for some more news and developments to the game before its release on our Wii game systems.
