First Screens of Call of Duty: World at War for Wii

Whoa! Is that a Wii Game???

For most of us, Nintendo’s E3 press conference was a bore (unless your a crazy Animal Crossing/Wii music fan). But there was a couple of things that were pretty interesting, one of them being the Call of Duty: World at War trailer for Wii. The game looks completely amazing and when I first glanced at the screens, I thought it was the 360 version of the game. Even though they are using the award winning Call of Duty 4 engine, Treyarch has managed to somehow get it working on the Wii. Although they did have to downgrade it, the game is looking pretty close to the 360/PS3 versions. I’m very excited about this game, if it has a good control scheme, uses Wii speak, and has a good online system, I may actually buy it over the 360 version. Hopefully this game, along with The Conduit, sells well. Then we may see this surge of casual games turn the other way.

Nice screens, eh? With two killer FPS’s coming to the Wii it looks like the tide is turning and it’s time for the Hardcore games to start coming out. We’ll keep our eye out for more Call of Duty news but in the mean time, discuss this article in our forums and keep checking back to My Wii News.

Just remember that on a large screen( hey I have a 50″) at 480p it won’t compare to the 1080p of the other consoles. Still, I haven’t gotten a 360 or PS3 yet :-)

Well. I’ve never played a game for graphics or how good and clear it looks ;)
