I know lightning will probably strike me for posting this on a Wii blog, but I feel I owe it to all of our loyal gamers out there… Dell is currently running a really good deal on two Xbox 360 console bundles. I don’t see how prices could get much better as we move into the holiday shopping season. Full disclosure: My Wii News is not affiliated with Dell or this promotion.
First is the Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade Holiday Bundle for $169.99 when you use the $30 Off coupon: NC383L9N3B4M45. This bundle includes 5 Xbox Live Arcade Games as well as SEGA Superstars Tennis.
They also have the Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite Holiday Bundle for $329.99 when you use the $70 Off coupon: 9VZC3829M7GXC9. This bundle comes with LEGO Indiana Jones, Kung Fu Panda and the larger 120GB hard drive.
When ordering, if a pop up box appears, select “Home or Home Office”. Also, if it shows that the console is out of stock, add it to your shopping cart as you normally would, check out, and your console will ship when they are next available.

Wii owners were devastated when they found out that neither Guitar Hero or Rock Band would be featuring Downloadable content (DLC). Without DLC both of these games can easily becoming repetitive and boring. Well, it looks like MTV and Harmonix found their own solution to this problem. They announced that PS2 and Wii owners will be able to purchase a Rock Band track pack at their local gaming store starting on July 15th. This volume 1 pack will feature 20 new songs at a price of $29.99. While this is cheaper then the traditional $1.99 per song on the Xbox Live and PSN, you cannot choose the songs you want. But at least we will be able keep rockin’ out for a while until the next track pack comes out. Here’s a list of the songs featured on the pack just in case your interested.
- 30 seconds to Mars - The Kill
- All American Rejects - Move Along
- Blink 182 - All the Small Things
- Boston - More Then a Feeling
- David Bowie - Moonage Daydream
- Faith No More - We Care A Lot
- Grateful Dead - Truckin’
- The Hives - Die, All Right!
- KISS - Calling Dr. Love
- Lynyrd Skynyrd - Gimme’ Three Steps
- Nine Inch Nails - March of the Pigs
- Oasis - Live Forever
- Paramore - Crushcrushcrush
- The Police - Synchronicity II
- Queens of the Stone Age - Little Sister
- Ramones - Teenage Lobotomy
- Smashing Pumpkins - Siva
- Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song
- Weezer - Buddy Holly
- Wolfmother - Joker & the Thief
Well there you have it. Its nice to see Harmonix looking out for us. We can probably expect to see more track packs just from looking at the name (Volume 1). We also can expect a Guitar Hero 3 pack sometime in the future, so keep your eyes on My Wii News for any more updates!
